Well...we have been trying to think of a way to use this tool for more than just a greeting tool, but that is all we could come up with. GeoGreeting was created while working on a different Google Maps project. They began to noticed that a number of buildings looked like letters of the alphabet when viewed from above. Here is another Web 2.0 tool that we have been using for a long time. Meebo is a unique Web 2.0 chat tool that can be easily added to any blog, wiki, or web page. The great thing about the Meebo chat tool is that is allows you, the page owner, to chat with visitors that stop by your page. One of the most powerful tools that I use for teaching online course is screen recording or sometimes called screen casts. Screen recording is a digital recording the computer screen. Not only can you capture the video but audio can be captured also, allowing narration to take place. Really good screen recording software can very expensive, but recently I found an online screen recording tool that is free. Since ScreenToaster is online, it works with any platform (Windows Vista, Mac OS and Linux) and also allows the final project to be converted to Flash so they can be shared online.
